Agricultural Roofing & Cladding, Nationwide

Farm buildings work hard — and their roofs and cladding take the punishment. JPM Site Services works with farmers, landowners, contractors and estate managers across the UK, taking on the jobs that keep agricultural buildings dry, safe and working: tired fibre cement roofs, rusted sheeting, leaking rooflights, and buildings that have simply reached the end of their first life.

We travel nationwide. Whether it’s a single livestock shed or a full yard of buildings, the process starts the same way: a free site survey, a photographic condition report, and an honest recommendation — repair, over-clad, strip and reclad, or rebuild.

Barn & Shed Recladding

Full strip-and-reclad of agricultural roofs and vertical cladding in modern box-profile or fibre cement sheeting, with new rooflights, flashings, and gutters where needed. Recladding transforms weathertightness, light levels and appearance — and is often more economical than repairing sheet-by-sheet year after year.

Non-Licensed Asbestos Sheet Removal

Thousands of UK farm buildings still carry asbestos cement roof and wall sheets. In most cases this is classed as non-licensed asbestos work, which means it can be removed without an HSE licence — but it still has to be done properly. Our teams remove asbestos cement sheeting under controlled procedures, with the correct protective equipment, and with documented disposal through authorised waste routes.

Once the old sheets are off, we can re-sheet the building in modern insulated or single-skin cladding — one team, one programme, no handovers between contractors.

Asbestos Over-Cladding (Oversheeting)

Where removal isn’t necessary or budgets are tight, over-cladding is a proven alternative: a new metal roof fixed over the existing asbestos cement sheets using a spacer system. The old roof is safely encapsulated, the building gains a modern weathertight skin — often with added insulation — and disruption to whatever is underneath is kept to a minimum. Livestock, machinery and stored crops can usually stay put while we work.

New Build Agricultural Steel Buildings

From cattle sheds and machinery stores to grain stores and general-purpose barns, we deliver new steel-frame agricultural buildings — frame, roof, cladding, rooflights, doors and rainwater goods. Tell us what the building needs to do and we’ll design and build around that.
